participate in continuing education
programs. Most have special interests or
areas of expertise within the practice.

OUR DOCTORS: |

Dr. Margaret Lake
received her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine
degree from the University of
California-Davis in 1979. Her love and
compassion for animals motivated her to
concentrate exclusively on canine and feline
care. Her special interests are in the
fields of dermatology. |
| Dr. Marvin Helphrey
received his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine
degree from Iowa State University in 1974.
Post graduate education included a two-year
surgical internship. The next two years were
spent at the University of California-Davis
in an Anesthesia/Intensive Care residency.
Dr. Helphrey's special interests encompass
the fields of anesthesia and dentistry. |

Dr. Helphrey is certified in TPLO
(tibial
plateau leveling osteotomy, a
surgery performed on dogs to stabilize
the stifle joint after ruptures of the
cranial cruciate ligament.). His
advanced training, along with extensive
technical monitoring, provide the
patient with optimal veterinary care.

Together, the Doctors designed and
built the Veterinary Hospital in 1980
and have provided quality veterinary
care to the community ever since. The
office has gone through several
remodels.
